# UltimateOwner > UltimateOwner shows who really owns online casinos and betting sites, VPNs and forex brokers: the operating company, its licences, the owner chain up to the top parent, sister brands, and regulator fines. Every owner link has a source and a confidence level (verified = licence register, company filing or the brand’s own terms; reported = press only; unclear = weak or conflicting sources). Pages answer "Who owns ?" in the first paragraph. Facts are in a table on each page. User reviews are opinions and are shown separately. Partner (affiliate) links are labelled and never change facts or order. How we count: a "brand" is one brand family (the same brand on several country domains is one brand), counted once per owner group even when two records share a name; active and closed brands count; review sites and white-label sites (run for a partner, not owned) are counted apart. Sister sites come from the highest operating company, never from an investment fund on top. How we count owners: "owner groups" are all groups that own or run at least one brand, with parent and sub-groups counted separately (the rows of the owners list); "top owner groups" are the highest operating company in each owner chain, never an investment fund (the biggest-owners ranking and the owners blog).
