About UltimateOwner

UltimateOwner shows who really owns online casinos, betting sites, VPNs and forex brokers: the company that runs each site, its licences, the owner chain up to the top, sister brands and regulator fines. Every fact has a source.

Who we are

UltimateOwner is run by 3-102-944839, a company registered in Costa Rica. Mikk Maal is the editor and is responsible for the content.

Mikk Maal, editor

Role: Mikk Maal decides what goes on the site and is responsible for every written review, guide and data story. Written reviews, guides and the Finnish licence tracker name the editor as author or reviewer.

What the editor checks:

every owner link against a licence register, a company register, a stock-exchange filing or the brand’s own terms, and the confidence level (verified, reported or unclear) that follows from it;
every fine against the regulator’s own notice: the company that was fined, the date and the amount;
the review check: every name, number and date in a written review must match our data before it goes live, and again when the facts change;
every correction that readers send, against the source they give.

How we check facts

Sources first. We use licence registers (for example the UK Gambling Commission, Spelinspektionen, the Malta Gaming Authority, the German GGL whitelist and US state regulators), company registers, annual reports, stock-exchange filings and the brands' own terms.
Every owner link has a confidence level. Verified: a register, a filing or the brand's own terms confirm it. Reported: trade press reports it, and we have not confirmed it in a register yet. Unclear: sources are weak or disagree. We show the level on every page.
Owner or operator. Some companies run sites for other brands ("white label"). We say "run by" for them, and we name the brand owner when we know it.
Fines and court cases link to the regulator's or court's own notice. We report what was decided, with the date. We do not call companies names.
Written reviews are checked by a script: every name, number and date must match our data before a review goes live, and again whenever the facts change.

How we make money

Some brand pages have a partner link. If you sign up through it, we earn a commission. Partner links are always labelled, they appear only for brands licensed in your country, and they never change our facts, the order of any list or any score. We take no payment to add, remove or change any fact.

User reviews

Users write the reviews. A moderator checks each one before it goes live. We remove spam, personal data, threats and reviews by company staff or competitors. A review is the opinion of one user, not a fact checked by us.

Corrections

Owners change often. If you find a mistake, use the Report a correction button on the page, or write to hello@ultimateowner.com. Please add a source. We check every report against the source and correct the record when it is right.
