Who is behind it
TAB New Zealand is a public body, not a private company. The law gives it the sole right to take racing and sports bets in New Zealand. In 2023 it handed the daily running of its betting business to Entain, the UK-listed group behind Ladbrokes and Coral. Entain paid NZ$150m up front and pays a share of revenue. TAB New Zealand did not sell the business, so it remains the owner.
