Who is behind it

Reel Denmark Limited holds the Danish licence under the PokerStars name. PokerStars came to Flutter with The Stars Group, which Flutter took over together with Sky Betting & Gaming. Flutter itself dates from 2016, the year Paddy Power and Betfair merged. Its legal home is Ireland, while its operational head office is in New York. During 2025 the group bought Snai, an Italian operator, and took a majority stake in Betnacional, a Brazilian one.

Licence and what it means for you

Spillemyndigheden lists Reel Denmark Limited, under its PokerStars entry, with an active licence for online casino and betting, and betstars.dk is one of its domains. Our data shows no licence number or end date. Danish rules apply on the site, including ROFUS, the national self-exclusion register. BetStars also has a French sports betting site, betstars.fr, under French rules.

Fines and regulator actions

Reel Denmark Limited has no fine in our data. All 21 actions in the Flutter record name other group companies. Several concern the PokerStars business. Spelinspektionen, the Swedish regulator, sanctioned TSG Interactive PLC in May 2025: a warning plus SEK 7 million, over gaps in its anti-money-laundering work. The Spanish DGOJ fined TSG Interactive Spain more than once in 2025 and 2026 over technical rules and player protection. We count these as group context, not as the BetStars record.
